The Crab Shack: A Casual Seafood Experience in Gardena, CA

It took some time to be seated. The restroom needs more attention. The food was good but the waiters need to pay more attention. I asked for a bib but never brought me one. Food price it's good. Overall I rate it 4 stars.

I finally tried the Crab Shack on Western Avenue in Gardena, CA., and it was fantastic! We ordered the (spicy) Combo Number 3, which included king crab, shrimp, and mussels, plus a side of garlic noodles. Although the combo was labeled as spicy, it had the perfect level of heat without being overwhelming. The portion sizes were extremely generous—enough to comfortably feed a family of four. Every bite was delicious, with the seafood cooked to perfection and the garlic noodles adding a delightful touch. Overall, the Crab Shack offers incredible value for the amount and quality of food. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying and tasty seafood meal.

I ordered the fried oysters there served with Cajun fries the batter on the oyster is delicious,also had a crab boil peeled shrimp,snow crab potatoes, sausage with garlic butter sauce.. the foowas good however the service was notour waitress messes up our orders ,gave my food to someone else had to wait 25min to get my food ,they took 15min to bring our rice ,which I ordered 3 they all came out separately and wasn't able to enjoy with my crab boil,didn't complain, was just glad my food finally arrived.... I also placed an order to go .... I got the bill paid for my food....the another waiter comes over and says"oh we gave you the wrong bill ,and you have to pay the amount on this new bill we forgot to add the gratuity " as we were walking out the original bill was $272 the new bill was $310 which is only to be added to a party of six .....our bills were separate and it was 5ppl... Asked for the manager spoke to her she was passive aggressive and tthen said " we will wave the gratuity, but next time you won't be able to to do this again" as if we were trying to skip out on our bill,and the service was trash, and I let her know that there won't be a next time .....Maybe next time have better customer service and don't try and repermand your customer for your staffs mistakes and poor service when you have ppl spending over a $150 . It's rude and makes us don't wanna come back dine at your own risk

Went there for a friend's birthday and The prices have gone up a lot but let's start off with ordering ordering. My friend wanted hot water and lemon they had no hot water. I ordered a unsweetened tea which didn't taste too much like anything. They didn't have any sweetener so I just end up ordering a Diet Coke. I ordered a pound of garlic butter shrimp and snow crab with 3 corns & potatoes with the mild spice on the side. My friend ordered 1 of the combos 1pound of snow cab and 2 pounds if shrimp and that comes with 2 corns, potatoes and sausage. The food was delicious they don't do anything special if it's your birthday but it's cool. Our waitress was very nice and pleasant.

Not sure about the other reviews, but I've always received good service since I started patronizing The Crab Shack 4-5 years ago. On my most recent visit, we were seated quickly and the food came in a timely manner. The staff was also very attentive and met all of our needs. Now onto the food, it is very reasonably priced even when it fluctuates based on "market price". The taste is very flavorful and the spiciness is just good enough to enjoy where you're not sweating bullets. Their shrimps tend to be above average size and tastes very sweet. FYI: 1 pound of shrimp is about 20 shrimps. Make sure you add corn & sausages! Plenty of free parking in the plaza (can get busy sometimes). Minus one star because this isn't the best cajun style seafood place I've had and the shrimps aren't always the freshest (you can tell by how easily the shell is to peel). When ordering fries + beer + shrimp, expect to pay $40-45 per person. Highly recommend and I will be returning!

BETTER THAN BOILING CRAB!! Call me crazy, I don’t care but at least hear me out: No long wait for a table. No long wait for a server. Prices are GREAT! Quality of food is delicious! Parking is free. You get a bucket for all your trash (shells, napkins, etc) Great servers that have been there forever. We ordered the Cajun shrimp & fries basket, 1lb snow crab legs, peeled shrimp all for $59. The least you can do is give it a try and then decide if you want to prove me wrong. Thank me later :) !!

This is our fourth time coming here. I decided to post it, this time the service was very good they were friendly very attentive. Our food was great, just one thing the first combo we ordered was on point, we asked for medium spice, and it was great, but the second combo we ordered the spice was just mild it wasn't consistent but it was still good. Over it was great, and I would recommend it here. We'll go back.

Been coming here for the past 10 years and it's always been a good experience but lately, they're VERY UNDERSTAFFED and it causes their service to suck. Having 2 waiters and 1 person in the front is not working out. I think they should really consider in hiring more waiters to bring back their fast paced service. It was not like this before.
